CRK's Back to Basics Video and Full Color Riding Guide
|
Are you just learning to ride? Finally signed up for lessons at a local stable or maybe you're going riding on vacation and want to know what you're getting into? Or you have more experience riding, but need to brush up on the basics? If this sounds like you then you're at the right place!
I am frustrated with the low quality instruction often given to new riders, and with the crazy things that some trainers teach about horses and riders. So this is why I have created Back to Basics - a program that will teach you the basics of riding horses and give you the little tips that make the difference between a good rider and a great one! |
What is the Back to Basics Program?
Back to Basics teaches you how to ride the right way. This means riding without yanking on the horse's mouth to stop or kicking his sides to go. Back to Basics is a system of riding that focuses on developing good balance and making you a "natural" at riding. It's about learning the most important stuff first so you have the confidence to go faster, jump higher, or try more advanced moves later on.
Back to Basics is also about having fun, and not getting so caught up in "heels down, shoulders back" that riding is more of a chore than a hobby or a passion. Personally, I believe that riding horses is about more than just the ride, it's about connecting with the horse and riding in a way that's best for the horse too.
I train my horses and I teach my riders with positive reinforcement, which means look for what's good and praise it. Let mistakes be feedback and not a reason to beat yourself up.
Riding isn't easy, it takes practice, hard-work, and acceptance of the fact that you might hit the ground at some point. But the rewards are huge - when you can achieve that feeling of oneness with the beautiful, elegant animal that is the horse, and you feel the stress of the day just melt away as you simply walk down a trail or around the arena fence you'll know all the sweat, dirt, and horse hair were worth it.
It's always easier to learn something right the first time before bad habits set in. Let CRK Training help you in your equestrian journey with Back to Basics. We're going to show you everything from putting the saddle on the horse, to riding the canter and jumping. All the stuff you need to know is in here, I give you all the tips and "secrets" that aren't usually even taught to new riders, but there isn't so much fluff and detail that you can't remember what's important.
Click "Buy Now" to get Back to Basics right away for $39.99 (less than the cost of most private lessons), and download it to your computer, tablet, or phone. Or scroll down for even more information. I am only offering this lower price for a short time as I do some ad tests, so if you want Back to Basics, click Buy Now to download right away!

When I teach riding, I focus #1 on that my riders are having fun – that is why ride horses! Secondly, I develop balance and confidence. Good Balance is the most important component to actually staying on the horse and balance is only achieved when your body is in the correct position.
Confidence in the saddle is what allows you to relax and enjoy the ride, so I am careful to give instructions step by step so that my riders are not overfaced.
I have really enjoyed creating the Back to Basics program. This program teaches a basic, solid system of riding so that no matter what discipline or style of riding you get into, you can have a good foundation to build your skills on.
This one video will start with going over the equipment you need to ride, how to tack up and prepare your horse for riding, and will teach you the fundamentals of riding the walk, trot, and canter.
You are going to actually see what I was talking about with using your seat to ride, as well as the six other secrets to riding like a pro.
Also, you are not just going to see me demonstrating proper riding – you will also get to watch me coach two students – Jen and Leah- and as you watch those mini lessons you will probably notice that they are having some of the same issues that you are in your own riding.
Special Bonus - Learn How to Jump Video

Right now, as a special bonus, you will also get a 25 min Learn to Jump video. Here I show you how to start jumping step by step. I start by teaching you how to get in a jumping, or "two-point" position and then show you how to start over ground poles and move up to small fences.
You also get to watch a jumping lesson with Leah and Ace, so you can see the problems you may have as you start jumping and how to fix them.
